For some time now, 5G smartphones have been in the spotlight. After market leaders like Samsung and Apple, it’s now the turn of the Chinese brand Xiaomi, well known for its value for money, to get into the race by offering two 5G smartphones in the $500 range. Announced on September 30, here are the characteristics of the Xiaomi Mi 10T and 10T Pro, now available for sale.
Good technical performance
These are high-performance smartphones that Xiaomi offers with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 (one of the most powerful processors on the market) and its eight cores, so it is possible to run any game or application without any problem. The 8GB of RAM (6GB for the Xiaomi Mi 10T) ensures good speed for both new smartphones, which run on Android 10 and the MIUI 12 interface. To top it off, they have a very good battery life (5000mAh) with 33W fast charging, a capability that is now a must-have.
On the camera side, the Xiaomi Mi 10T offers a very nice 64Mp camera with triple sensor, as for the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro, it is an ultra high resolution camera of 108Mp with triple sensor. Both models have a front camera of 20Mp, enough to make beautiful selfies.
A decent design, if not modern
As far as appearance is concerned, both models have a large 6.67 inch screen, flat and with borders that we could have wished thinner. If the LCD screen is not the latest technology, it has a high refresh rate up to 144Hz. Finally, users will benefit from a Full HD resolution.
Both models are available in two colors: cosmic black and lunar silver.
In the end, the Xiaomi Mi 10T and 10T Pro have few differences: the first offers 128GB of storage and the second 256GB, neither smartphone has an SD card storage expansion.
